This is an introductory level course based on Elder Abuse Ontario's Core Curriculum. The course aligns with the goals of Ontario's Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse and provides fundamental continuing education to enhance the capacity of those working with older adults. It will reflect provincial, national and international best practices. 


The course will help professionals who interact with seniors create/maintain an environment of safety and trust in which seniors live with dignity and respect. The course has been initiated to assist in building the capacity of those working with older adults to identify and respond to elder abuse and is based on the Ontario and Canadian government's laws and elder abuse prevention strategies and best practices.


For professionals that work with/or plan to work with seniors 
in community or care settings. 

Of interest to social workers,nurses, PSW, occupational/

physiotherapists, counsellors, etc.
